Food to Lose Belly Fat

What you want to do first is find the best foods to lose belly fat. How to raise your metabolism by eating the right foods and not to kick it into survival mode is a lot easier than you think. When most people want to lose belly fat they tend to skip meals thinking that by doing this they will lose weight more quickly. Not true. What you are really doing is making your body think it is starving and kicking it into survival mode.

Food to lose belly fat is actually an excellent replacement you can include in your meal in the absence of fatty and high carb foods that are restricted in your dietary program. You may indulge on these food stuffs without having to think of it as a guilty pleasure. Take a look at the listed food below and find out which among these items must be in your meal.

Hot and spicy foods - Spicy foods are shown to assist in speeding up the body's metabolism. When choosing spicy foods, it does not have to be really hot food, it could be mild. For example, you could start adding salsa on your food, or mild peppers.

Fruits and Vegetables is last but most definitely not least on the list. They are all natural and remember that whatever is natural is good for you. The best fruits to have are apples, grapefruits and oranges as they are all high in vitamin c alongside being low in calories. Almost every vegetable is great to have especially spinach which is high in fibre.

Fresh food is best. The more fresh food you eat, instead of processed, the better off you will be in your effort to lose your belly fat as well as most other health aspects. No one gets fat from a diet of fresh, healthfully prepared vegetables. It is not the baked potato that is the real diet killer - it's the butter and sour cream we heap on it.

Citrus Fruits: Oranges, grapefruit, tangerines, lemons, and limes contain high concentrations of Vitamin C (this is also called ascorbic acid). This Vitamin C has a fat burning quality. By adding Citrus Fruits to your daily diet, you will great increase your metabolism, increase your ability to get rid of belly fat, and also help you to control your cholesterol levels.

Seafood: Containing all eight essential amino acids, seafood is an excellent source of protein. Fish also contains omega 3 fatty acids which are vitally important for your health. The two best types to eat are salmon and tuna (if canned - light tuna in water).

Each can of tuna has about 33 grams of protein with no fat or carbohydrates (for the water-packed tuna). I like to mix it in with black beans for a good 1-2 punch of protein. 1 can of tuna alone isn't very filling (at least for me), so I combine it with other things such as black beans, eggs, lentils, or a salad.

Hot dogs made with turkey, ham and cheese sandwiches are very tasty and filling as are peanut butter sandwiches and they provide the needed protein to help your metabolism stay in check.

A chicken breast has around 20 grams of protein in it. If you notice, all of these foods are high in protein. And the foods that are high in protein and fiber are at the top of the list. None of these foods are expensive too. Mix them up, add some spices and flavorings. There's a lot you can do with them so that you don't get bored with them.
