How to Do Anaerobic Exercises

By AlnwickKajetan at 2010-08-21 07:03:44
Anaerobic exercises are brief, intense activities based on strength like bodybuilding or sprinting. They are different from aerobic exercises. Aerobic exercises are endurance-based like marathon, cycling, or rowing. Anaerobic exercises, on the other hand, require you to move at a certain speed and perform with maximum effort.

Combining aerobic and anaerobic training is necessary because it is impossible to exercise at the high intensity level of anaerobic exercise for the entire workout. Even if you try to work at such a high intensity, you eventually become fatigue and drift back into the aerobic zone.

Another popular anaerobic program is called an HIIT routine, which is a series of short bursts of highly intense activity followed by short periods for recovery. Such quick bursts of high activity followed by recovery periods have been shown to increase the metabolism as well as burning more calories than the low intensity variety.

On the other side of the coin, aerobic exercise is usually something that is considered a lower activity. Something that is not nearly as intense as the anaerobic ones. These could include things like swimming or cycling, which have need for lots of oxygen in order to keep happening as a prolonged or extended exercise.

These exercises will focus largely similarity in the group of muscles and activities which are developed in order that each has so much muscle strength as a resistance, so that gives us as a result the balance between the two exercises. Make a simultaneous joint exercise will practice both disciplines where to get the best out of each one is the best way to maximize results.

So how do you start an anaerobic exercise program? The first person you should consult is your doctor or healthcare professional. He or she will be able to discuss with you if your body is capable of doing the exercise. If so, he or she will then discuss with you the best way to start, as well as how to combine it with aerobic exercises.

The high intensity training should not be attempted by the beginner but a less intense weight or sprinting or even circuit training should be used to start out as your body need to get into some shape before trying a truly high intensity workout. If your body is not ready for this type of training more damage can be done.

Circuits are especially effective to burning fat because they combine aspects of both strength and endurance training into one, highly targeted, set of exercises. This type of training is highly effective in making your muscles stronger and more fit, meaning you'll be less susceptible to injury over the long run.

Tennis, weight lifting, sprinting and jumping, on the other hand are anaerobic in nature. To achieve a total balanced fitness, it is best to combine doing both anaerobic and aerobic exercise. Anaerobic activities is a good complement to aerobic exercise as it will add definition and tone to the physical result of aerobic exercise. It is wise to check with your physician before starting an exercise program.
