Back Hair Removal Methods

By AlnwickKajetan at 2010-09-03 06:27:04
If you are often handed a banana when you remove your shirt at the beach then you might be in serious need of permanent back hair removal. There are really only two choices in this regard. Electrolysis or laser hair removal.

When removing hair permanently from your back, you have two options. Firstly, you can go through laser treatment. Laser one is a method that targets the melanin found in dark hair and stops the hair from growing without damaging the skin. Unfortunately, because of this, laser removal is only used for people who have dark hair and light skin.

The cheapest route when you're in the removal process, is waxing. This method comes at an extremely cheap price when compared to other methods. This is actually a procedure that may leave you feeling confident in your future. Waxing is a very common procedure when it comes to excess hair. This problem area is hard to deal with on your own. Your best bet is to get the help of another individual.

Shaving using an ordinary razor can result in painful ingrown hairs on the back. Hair is normally tapered at the end. Shaving removes this tapered end from the hair shaft creating a sharper bristly feel to the hair that re-grows.

Sometimes the hair grows into the side of the surrounding tissue rather than straight out through the follicle when back hair removal is attempted with a razor.

With electrolysis, approximately one hundred hours may be needed in a series of treatment sessions spreading over months. Rates may start at fifty dollars per hour in some places but go up to around one hundred and twenty per hour in other areas. A quick calculation based on these estimates puts the average permanent back hair removal procedure using electrolysis at somewhere between five to twelve thousand dollars.

One of the best and easiest methods of hair removal is the usage of hair removal creams such as Revitol. You just have to apply the hair removal cream on the hair covered areas, leave it for the time mentioned in the pack and rinse it with water. Very simple-and no pain involved in this process.

Hair removal creams do not cost you a fortune. They are cheaper and definitely a better method for removing unwanted hair. You may have to use it once a month or twice a month depending on the hair growth.

According to one of the findings made by scientists, electrolysis is proven to permanent hair removing. This means, you will get your hair permanently removed and never grow back. But in some cases, hair do grow back after electrolysis so you cannot really make sure.

Electrolysis is done by inserting a sterile needle into each hair follicle which will then discharge a small electric current which would then destroy the hair follicle. But each hair follicle has to be treated one at a time and that means the process takes a long time to be finished. There is also a method called blend method which combines the short wave method with the galvanic method to get permanent hair removal.

To combat various disadvantages that are associated with that of shaving and waxing methods, there are new technologies that are available such as laser hair removal and electrolysis process. Many people are satisfied in a great manner due to availability of this technology that provides effective results. The more time you dedicate the more you will be able to apply.

Perhaps the best route to a hair free back is to talk to your dermatologist. He or she an guide you in the right direction. Just know that there are options and you don't have to live with a hairy back anymore!
