Dealing with losing your hair is tough, especially if it starts happening at an early age, like in your teens. Castor oil is very popular oil for hair growth and to prevent teenage hair thinning. It is a rather sticky oil however so you might want to combine it with another oil. Combine it with almond oil or coconut oil for the best results.

If there is one powerful reason why teenagers lose hair is that they use too much hair gels, too many hair products and their diet is filled with junk foods. These bad vices have to be eliminated to help encourage new growth of your mane.

Certain medicine can cause temporary hair loss as well. Medicines that affect the thyroid in any way can cause the hair to slow the growth down or cause it to stop completely. Identifying the cause of the hair loss can save a lot of time and frustration. If it's a physical part of a lifestyle, generally, it can be corrected and reversed- especially in the teenage years.
