Ways to Deal with Stress

How do you react to stress? Do you get dizzy? Do you quickly pull out a cigarette and puff away? Do you get an upset stomach? Do you run off and look for alcoholic drinks? Like it or not, we all could be plagued by stress and there is no way to fully control or avoid all of them. What we could learn however, is the right way to respond or deal with our stress.

In fact, choosing false words to describe your emotions creates even more stress. Falsely reframing shows a lack of acceptance for what is really happening in your life. You are resisting and fighting it. You have a discomfort with darkness and a preference for light.

Always look at the positive things in life when dealing with stress since your thoughts affect your emotions. The Law of Attraction says that what you think, you will attract. Teach yourself to think and attract the positive so that you'll channel your vibe to attract the good things.

Always try to be oriented towards your work and ascertain that you ward off the conflicts and disagreements that come your way either naturally or deliberately. You will succeed in your quest to prevail over stress if you know what are your limits and where the line of divide exactly is.

Competition in terms of appearance, possessions, or accomplishments can be avoided. Some may even do what it takes just to incite envy in other people. Although it is quiet easy to say that you should be thankful with what you have, it's the opposite way around. This is a self-inflicted form of stress originated from a mere jealousy.

It's my favorite technique and it works wonders for my well-being. Whenever you are stressed, just get up and walk in slow, relaxed pace. If you have a park nearby, then there is nothing better than that.

Do not hold in any emotions as this is detrimental to ones emotional health. All emotions need to be expressed and let out as this can disperse stress and also it is essential for long term mental health.

A sleep deprived person cannot perform in an optimized manner. There are obvious lapses that are likely to take place and these lapses at work or at home create situations that cause further stress. An eight hour sleep routine is a 'must', no matter the amount of work that you have pending!

Make certain that you have enough sleep every night. Sleep deprivation not only can cause stress but other serious ailments such as heart problems and high blood pressure. Make a habit to go to bed the same time every night and also wake up on the same time every morning.

If your own attempts at stress relief fail, do not hesitate to consult your physician. For some, medication is required, at least temporarily. By all means, make sure you do something. Ignoring it will only cost you more mentally and physically in the future.

Another thing you can do is take time out to participate in your favorite activity. Many people are reluctant to do this because after taking the time out, they still need to go back and face their stress. However, taking the time out to do something you enjoy actually help you relax.
